FITLEGS has supplied medical compression socks and surgical stockings to the NHS and hospitals for decades, meaning this is the same trusted category of product routinely provided to patients following surgery.
Who these AES medical compression socks are for
These Class 1 medical grade compression socks are designed for people who:
Are bed-bound or have very limited mobility
Are recovering from surgery or hospital admission
Have been advised to wear anti-embolism stockings by a healthcare professional
Need clinically approved compression, not everyday support socks
Why AES Closed Toe Compression Stockings are different
Unlike general compression socks, FITLEGS® AES are specifically designed for medical and post-surgical use, with features that support clinical monitoring and comfort:
Closed toe design for warmth and full foot coverage
Heel pad for increased comfort when worn for extended periods
Universal fit (no left or right foot) for easier application
Only four sizes for easier clinical fitting
Latex-free - not made with natural rubber latex
Dark teal colour for discretion when worn at home after discharge
These features support both patient comfort and clinical best practice.

Fitlegs compression socks help to increase blood flow which helps prevent aches and pains, and reduce swelling during and after activity. Fitlegs compression socks are available for men and women, and in a wide variety of sizes and styles to suit any taste. From plain colours to fun designs, there’s a compression sock for everyone.
Great product, used by hospital following open heart surgery, we were issued a second pair, but I wanted to be prepared as my husband needed to wear the socks for 6 weeks, so ordered 2 pairs directly from Fitlegs. Exactly the same as issued by hospital, good fit, takes a bit of practice for carer to put them on patient as the socks are very tight fitting. Easy to wash and line dry. Simple to use website, good product description and arrived as stated.

Ordered these after a hip operation so I could always have a clean pair on hand. I ordered the same style & size as I was given in hospital, but, the pair I bought were a tiny bit longer therefore MUCH more comfortable. They took less than 5 working days to arrive too, which for mid December is impressive.

I’m pregnant and honestly I don’t want to take them off. I’m about to place another order. Wished there had some plain black cotton ones.
Miss Oana B
They were the only compression socks I ever had that were comfortable. Thank you so much as I had to wear them for several days.

How do I choose the right size compression sock?
To find the perfect fit for compression stockings, start by measuring your ankle and referring to our size chart (found linked to each product page). If you're unsure, consult a healthcare professional for guidance.
For sports and everyday socks, simply use our size chart and select your size based on your shoe size.
Are there any side effects of wearing compression socks?

Please consult our size charts or get in touch if you are not sure, we are always happy to help.
How long will it take for my product to arrive?
It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
Do I need a prescription to get medical compression socks?
Ready-to-wear and standard off-the-shelf compression garments do not require a prescription. However, some of our medical and AES compression socks do require sign off from a doctor.
